Established in 2006, Big Mobile blends market leading creative, mobile technology and media solutions to deliver smart and engaging mobile advertising campaigns for the world’s top brands.

Big Mobile created one of the first mobile internet portals for Australia’s leading telcos, with smartphones further revolutionising the industry and generating double digit growth over the last few years.

As one of Australia’s leading mobile marketing and media companies, Sydney-based Big Mobile now has over 70 staff across four countries.

Strong growth in Asia

In line with its strategy to target overseas markets with high mobile/smartphone penetration, Big Mobile decided to expand into Kuala Lumpur and Manila.

“After researching the region’s potential and trialling sales representatives in serviced offices, we decided to set up permanent sales offices in each country,” says David Green, co-founder and CEO of Big Mobile Group.

While Big Mobile’s bank continues to be very supportive of this export strategy, it was not able to provide all of the funding that Big Mobile needed, and so it approached Export Finance Australia to see if we could help.

How we helped

We were able to partner with Big Mobile’s bank to structure a finance package that allowed the company to implement its strategy.

Our Export Working Capital Guarantee allowed Big Mobile’s bank to approve the finance required to cover the set-up costs of the two new sales offices in Malaysia and the Philippines.

Big Mobile is already in discussion with a leading Malaysian publisher for a long-term mobile inventory partnership.
